Mark has over twenty years’ experience of working with private clients, most of which has been with haysmacintyre. He became a Partner in January 2018.
He works with a wide-range of private clients, professional partnerships, directors of large corporate clients and entrepreneurs on diverse subjects such as the benefits of incorporation or self-employment, remuneration planning and choosing the right business structures for professional partnerships considering converting to LLP status.
Mark frequently speaks on the tax advantages of angel investing and in particular the benefits of both the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS). He is an advisory board member of Angel Academe, an award winning and growing network of high-wealth investors.
Mark recently obtained his certificate in Probate and Estate Administration and leads haysmacintyre’s Inheritance Tax Advisory and Compliance team. He works closely with Epoch Wealth Management, an independent financial advisory company, to provide practical solutions on inheritance tax including the use of trusts, family investment companies and other lifetime planning opportunities to reduce future inheritance tax liabilities.
He advises many of our international and non-domiciled clients and has worked with many firms within MSI Global Alliance, our worldwide alliance of legal and accounting firms, to provide tax solutions for clients within the UK and overseas.
Outside of work, Mark can’t quite leave the numbers alone as he is a Trustee and Treasurer of his local Scout group. When he does get away, Mark’s holidays are often combined with international sporting events and he can usually be found in the crowds cheering on British athletes all across Europe.
