Laura joined haysmacintyre in 2006 and became a partner in 2016.
Laura is both a corporate finance and audit partner, and her client portfolio covers businesses and group companies of all sizes from scale-up and growth companies to AIM and fully listed, enabling her to provide the appropriate advice to clients as they strive to achieve their objectives.
Laura has a specialist knowledge of the public markets in the UK and has led a number of IPOs and RTOs. She assists businesses throughout their journey to a public listing from the very early stages when the planning commences and the company is getting prepared, through to her role as the reporting accountant and then post flotation, helping the business to adapt to its new life as a public company. Laura also acts on a number of private transactions and has acted for a number of private equity firms prior to their investment into a business as well as both acquisition and vendor due diligence.
Laura leads our partnership with the London Stock Exchange on their Elite Programme, advising scale-up businesses during their growth phase through to their exit event. She presents at a number of Elite’s events and acts as a mentor to businesses who are participating in the programme. Laura also sits on the QCA’s Financial Reporting Expert Group and is an active member, participating in the quarterly meetings and in consultations which impact small and mid-cap companies.
Laura was ranked number one in the Accountancy Age UK Top 35 under 35 in December 2019 and is currently shortlisted for role model of the year at the Women in Accountancy and Finance Awards which are due to take place in October 2020.
Outside of work Laura loves to travel and she enjoys London life, especially the capital’s restaurants. She also enjoys playing golf.
