Louise has worked in the charity and not for profit sectors for most of her career, having trained and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser. During her career Louise has specialised in working with charities and other related not for profit entities and has worked for RSM Robson Rhodes and more recently, Grant Thornton UK before joining haysmacintyre.
Louise has a particular interest in the not for profit sector and advises her clients on the use of corporate group structures for tax planning and efficiency, property related advice, maintaining the direct tax charitable reliefs, claiming theatre tax relief and maximising entitlement to Gift Aid amongst other things!
Louise is an Observer Member of the Charity Tax Group. In her spare time, Louise enjoys the outdoors, particularly walking, cycling and gardening and also loves cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

Richard became a Partner with haysmacintyre in 2008 having trained in both the corporate and not for profit sectors. He has been actively involved in the internal management of the firm on our Audit Committee and spent five years on the partnership Management Board.
Richard is our head of Charities and Not for Profit team, and is particularly interested in charities delivering care, arts and culture organisations and independent schools. He provides both external audit services and advisory and consultancy services to their management teams, and sees his role as a key adviser for management and trustees in achieving their charitable objects and longer term strategy. Richard has a particular interest in governance and risk management processes, as well as improving financial systems, controls and management reporting.
He has been actively involved in the training of the not for profit team and leads our external trustee training programme, in association with Farrer & Co, which is an invaluable contributor to our corporate social responsibility policy, in enabling charity trustees to benefit from training and sharing experiences with their peers in a cost effective way. Richard has himself practical experience as a Trustee with the Royal Marines Charitable Trust, part of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Group. He is their representative on the group finance and audit committee.
As an avid motorcycle fan, Richard follows British Superbikes, World Superbikes and Grand Prix. He also owns the rights to the Marshan brand of powerboats, and competes in the offshore racing series with the Offshore Circuit Racing Drivers Association (OCRDA).
Tom was appointed Partner in October 2017 having worked his way through the ranks since joining haysmacintyre as a trainee in 2008.
His clients are drawn primarily from the professional institutes and membership bodies (PIMBs) sector, including clubs and national trade associations. Tom has a specific knowledge of national governing bodies of sport and regularly presents at our seminars for this group. He prepares our detailed annual national governing bodies of sport benchmarking report, providing insights and advice to individual participants and commentary regarding emerging trends and developments for the sector as a whole.
Tom also works with our education team, supporting independent schools and academies and has significant corporate client experience.
His delivery is focused on statutory audit and accountancy, but additionally Tom provides advice on financial system and internal controls reviews, as well as financial best practice and governance matters.
Tom’s interests outside of work are mostly sports-related, and he has travelled the globe to attend football and cricket tournaments. Right now, firmly rooted in the UK, he is a keen follower of Blackpool Football Club.
Tracey joined us as an audit trainee in 1997. Having worked on a variety of both not for profit and corporate clients, she became a Partner within our award winning Charities and Not for Profit unit in 2007.
As Joint Head of Education, Tracey specialises in supporting independent schools and academies. She also works with a range of other charitable organisations and companies.
In addition to providing her clients with audit and accounting assistance, Tracey has a strong track record in financial due diligence on mergers and acquisitions. She is often asked to advise board on governance and financial monitoring.
Tracey regularly presents at courses and seminars and often writes articles for the sector press.
