Nick is an employment tax specialist and leads haysmacintyre’s Employment Tax team. He joined the firm in 2014 and has a wealth of experience across the not for profit and corporate sectors. He is a Chartered Tax Adviser and participates in the Chartered Institution of Taxation employment taxes forum.
Nick has been responsible for co-ordinating a number of haysmacintyre's submissions to HMRC in respect of proposed changes to legislation and he sees this as an important contribution to the firm having a deep understanding of the ‘client's perspective’. Nick is a regular speaker at haysmacintyre and external events where he advises on the challenges and opportunities presented to employers by employment tax. He is also a trustee for a charity.
Nick's interests outside of work include being Taoist Tai Chi instructor, travelling and a re-kindled interest in photography. He also follows Wasps RFC and Southend United FC.
Ian is Managing Partner of haysmacintyre. He has been a Partner with us since 2001 and also leads our Corporate Finance division.
He is both a qualified ACA and a qualified member of the Institute’s Corporate Finance Faculty. In addition to being a general practice partner offering general business and financial advice to his diverse client base, Ian also provides specialist corporate finance services including deal negotiations, due diligence, reporting accountants work on IPOs and business plan evaluation.
Over the last few years, Ian has advised on a large number of both public and private transactions in the sub £50m market cap sector. This has ranged from due diligence assignments, financial modelling and working capital projections, private and public fundraisings, group reconstructions and MBIs/MBOs to AIM, NEX and Standard listings - a number of these transactions involving international structuring.
As a general practice partner, Ian has built up specialisms in the creative, media and technology sector, advising from the embryonic phase, through the life cycle of growth and fund raising to strategic positioning and exit.
Ian prides himself on being able to give business and strategic advice to all his clients, drawing on the commercial experience gained from his managing partner role and corporate finance transactions and applying this knowledge to his clients.
David joined haysmacintyre in 1998 as a trainee, worked his way through the ranks and became a Partner in 2006. He is a member of our Creative, Media and Technology sector team, but his clients come from a broad range of areas including property, technology, motor dealers and manufacturing.
David is the firm’s Audit Compliance Partner and is therefore tasked with developing our audit service. He leads a team that are dedicated to ensure our audit quality is of the highest standard.
He is also the firm’s IT Partner, tasked with ensuring we keep at the forefront of changing technology.
David also specialises in, business valuations, share option valuations, financial due diligence investigations, and preparation of financial forecasts and business plans.
David’s clients range from tech startups to fully listed companies. He’s helped clients grow from incorporation through funding stages to exit or listing and built up plenty of experience and knowledge along the way. He plays an active role in the London start-up scene and is involved in various accelerators and awards.
In a voluntary capacity David is an independent member of the British Olympic Association’s audit committee.
David is the proud father of two young girls and is a keen golfer and novice triathlete.
George qualified in 1983 and became a Partner at haysmacintyre in 1987. During this time he has accumulated an extensive experience and expertise on advising a broad range of clients.
George’s clients include membership bodies, professional partnerships, FCA regulated bodies, property and general commercial entities. In addition to seeking to add value to his clients across a range of assurance related matters he also advises on the wider financial, business and tax issues. George has gained substantial hands on management experience within the firm and has also been a director of MSI Global Alliance, our international association since 1990. This further experience enables him to more fully understand business and management issues and advise on relevant solutions.
His interests include sport and travelling. As a sports participant he enjoys playing golf and going to the gym, and as a sports fan enjoys watching football, rugby and golf.
Trevor has over 30 years’ experience in tax, initially working for HMRC and then training with a top ten firm. He has previously worked as a Tax Partner at a niche media firm, and more recently as head of Private Client tax at a top 50 media and entertainment firm. He joined haysmacintyre in 2017.
Trevor has broad knowledge across all taxes, with clients in a wide range of sectors. He is primarily focused on private client work, advising on issues such as domicile and residence, the tax consequences of immigration and emigration, inheritance tax planning, capital gains tax, business structuring, professional partnerships, trusts, property investment and development, and HMRC investigations.
He also deals with the interaction between corporate and personal taxes, Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) and VAT.
Outside work, Trevor’s interests centre around his family and sports, mainly as a spectator now, being an avid follower of the NFL and Manchester United.
