Two new appointments at haysmacintyre

We are delighted to announce two new appointments, including an internal promotion for our home grown partner Mark Pattenden in the private client department.

Having specialised in advising high net worth individuals and their families for 20 years, Mark leads the firm’s inheritance tax advisory and compliance team. He is an expert adviser on the tax advantages of angel investing and the benefits of both the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS). Mark has worked at haysmacintyre for over 16 years and is currently preparing for the launch of the firm’s new probate service. He is also an advisory board member of Angel Academe, the business network for angel investors.

Alex Gillespie joins the not for profit team as senior manager from Grant Thornton. He has extensive experience in working with fundraising charities, membership bodies, endowed foundations, universities and schools and his particular areas of interest include the practical application of financial reporting for charities. In his previous roles, Alex has presented for CFG and CIMA on charity accounting.

Commenting on the appointments, our managing partner Ian Cliffe said:

“We are delighted to reward Mark’s hard work and commitment to the firm, as well as welcoming Alex to the team. Recognising the talent and personal success of our staff and having new faces join the firm is a fantastic way to start the year. We are excited for this growth to continue throughout 2018.”
