haysmacintyre competes in the London Triathlon 2014

5th August 2014

A big congratulations to team haysmacintyre for completing the team relay at the London Triathlon which took place on Saturday, 2nd August. The three teams did brilliant with the winning team coming in 7th out of 155.

It was a wonderful event with 13,000 athletes competing and thousands more supporting. There was a great turn out of those supporting and cheering on team haysmacintyre, their support made all the difference.

The event is part of the firm's CSR programme to support our partner charity, The Robes Project. The haysmacintyre triathletes have raised over £1,000 for this great cause.

The Robes Project was set up in January 2007. The charity supports people who are homeless by running a temporary night shelter between November and April of each year and which hosts between 15 and 20 guests each night.

The charity supports approximately 50 people annually. The guests staying at the night shelter have access to respite accommodation, breakfast and dinner, community with fellow guests and volunteers and advice work.

The charity has over 400 dedicated volunteers who run the night shelter in teams. 22 church venues host the project on a rota basis. Without the dedication of the volunteers and churches, the whole project would not be able to operate.
