How to tell the story behind the numbers

'Historically, membership organisations have viewed their annual statutory account as a compliance document with little narrative. However, when it comes to compiling yearly reports, I’ve seen an increasing trend for the need to tell the story behind the numbers. This trend emanates from a variety of motivations such as the demand from membership (what is my money being spent on?), good governance and sometimes marketing pressures.'

Membership Communications (MemCom) have interviewed our Senior Audit Manager Tom Wilson to find our what his annual report recommendations are.
