haysmacintyre awarded Cyber Essentials quality mark

2nd November 2016

haysmacintyre is a proud new holder of the Cyber Essentials accreditation, demonstrating our continued commitment to information security and protecting the data we hold for our clients.

The Cyber Essentials scheme was launched by the Government in 2014 having been developed by industry and CESG (the Information Security arm of GCHQ) as a standard in cyber security relevant to all businesses sizes and sectors, from smaller SMEs to larger not-for-profit and public-sector bodies.

Certification covers five areas of security controls: boundary firewalls, secure configuration, access control, malware protection and patch management. To secure the mark, we followed the CREST accreditation route which required an independent assessment of our controls, including a penetration test of the internet perimeter.
