Cyber Essentials Plus badge for haysmacintre

19th October 2017

We are pleased to announce haysmacintyre has been awarded Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.

Now able to present an even stronger case to clients that we take appropriate measures to protect the data we hold for them, our security controls were tested by an independent certifying body and met all the required standards.  Tests covered boundary firewalls, secure configuration, access control, malware protection and patch management.  haysmacintyre’s chief information officer, Simon Bulleyment comments:

“We have taken the necessary steps to safeguard our clients’ and our own data and are delighted to have been awarded the Cyber Essentials Plus badge.  This is a responsibility we take seriously and for haysmacintyre is an ongoing process, and as such should reassure our clients, especially as we approach GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).”

The Cyber Essentials scheme was launched by the Government in 2014 as a standard in cyber security.  Cyber Essentials is relevant to businesses from smaller SMEs to larger not-for-profit and public-sector bodies - and since October 2014 has been mandatory for suppliers of Government contracts which involve handling personal information.

If clients would like to adopt Government best practice for data security and achieve Cyber Essentials accreditation, please ask Simon for more information on how we can help them.
