It is therefore critical to have experienced tax advisers involved from the outset to ensure that the transaction is structured in such a way as to optimise both the short and long term personal, corporate and VAT tax positions.

Our tax department is well experienced on tax planning and due-diligence in respect of corporate finance transactions. We have recently acted for a number of property and general commercial companies in respect of acquisitions and disposals. All had significant taxation issues that we were able to advise on.
