In addition to advising many surveying and solicitor practices, we also have clients from other professions – and not all of these operate within a partnership structure.
Barristers
Barristers – who are usually self employed – find that haysmacintyre’s integrated approach is a time saving and cost effective way to manage their financial and taxation matters. Our private client team supports the completion of annual tax returns and provides tax advice, our dedicated VAT specialist can advise in this area and consultants at haysmacintyre financial planning provide confidential and independent advice on pensions and investments.
We have close relationships with a number of senior clerks who seek views on issues relating to Chambers finances and often refer their new pupils and members to us for advice and help. We are conveniently located at the edge of Gray’s Inn, at the top of Chancery Lane and just a few minutes walk from Temple and the other Inns of Court.
Doctors and dentists
Whilst there are many specialist regulations governing those who contract with the NHS and PCTs, there are many other professional practice issues where doctors and dentists might seek our advice which is informed by many years’ experience with a variety of types and sizes of partnerships.
Our outsourcing, employer support (PAYE, P11D etc), VAT and IT consultancy services will be of value to those practices with limited administrative support. Our private client taxation and financial planning teams will support individual practitioners with their compliance and personal wealth planning. We have close working relationships with other advisers – such as lawyers – to support initiatives in property (e.g. LIFT), banking and fund raising. The expertise of our not for profit team is sometimes required by medical and dental practices from governance and trustee perspectives.
haysmacintyre provides audit services and taxation advice to a number of medical and dental professional associations (including the General Medical Council and the World Dental Federation) which provides us with a unique insight into the issues faced by practitioners and access to a range of best practice expertise.
Engineers
We are experienced in advising engineers – whether they are civil, water, mechanical or electrical - and we have a particularly strong track record in advising property professionals. Many of the issues these practices face are similar to those of surveyors and solicitors and our services in audit, corporate taxation, VAT, private taxation and financial planning will be of interest to engineers. Our outsourcing, employer support (PAYE, P11D etc), VAT and IT consultancy services will be of value to those practices with limited financial and administrative support. Our membership of the MSI Global Alliance, one of the world's largest associations of independent professional service firms, with over 230 member firms in 95 countries is of particular value to those engineers who frequently work on projects overseas.
