Simon is managing partner of haysmacintyre. He advises a wide range of corporate clients with a bias to growing owner-managed and entrepreneurial businesses. This advice is given to the owners of these businesses, often high net worth individuals, as well as to the businesses themselves.

The clients operate in a number of different sectors but primarily in the arena of Financial Services, Media, Real Estate and Manufacturing. In the Financial Services sector, Simon has participated in over twenty-five FSA applications over the last five years establishing the firm as a key player in the sector.

His advice to his clients covers the normal taxation and accounting issues but also encompasses key commercial advice and strategic planning. Although a general practitioner with over sixteen years experience, he has experience of Reporting Accountants' work for listed companies and spends an increasing amount of time working on acquisitions for his clients as well as those introduced by other professionals.

Simon also acts for many pension schemes, most of whom he has acted for a number of years. He regularly attends Trustees’ meetings to present audit findings.
