Jeremy trained and qualified with Hays Allan, one of the predecessor firms of haysmacintyre. He qualified in 1990 and became a partner in 1995. His current directorships and outside voluntary roles enable him to provide his clients, not just with routine tax and accounting advice, but all-round commercial advice and expertise not often found in the profession. Jeremy works closely with the firms specialist tax partners when advising his clients on tax planning opportunities and transactions.

Sport
Jeremy heads our Sports Group which is dedicated to servicing the business and tax needs of companies and individuals operating in the world of sport. A key area of the groups activities involves National Governing Bodies of Sport, and Jeremy acts for the majority of the firms clients in this arena, ranging from some of our top Olympic sports to small recreational NGB’s.

In addition, Jeremy advises a number of commercial organisations and individuals in the sector, including sports sponsorship companies, fitness industry specialists and individual athletes. Jeremy is a regular speaker at sports seminars and has regular dialogue with Sports Councils and CCPR on business matters affecting NGB’s and sport as a whole.

Property
Jeremy acts for a number of clients involved in property investment and development, both residential and commercial. This includes a variety of UK and non-UK resident companies and individuals. This sector requires regular financial and tax planning advice in addition to the more routine compliance areas. Jeremy is a non executive director of a privately owned property company, providing independent business advice to the Board.

International
Jeremy is a director of the firm’s international association, MSI Global Alliance, an international alliance of legal and accounting firms worldwide. He attends both the annual worldwide conference and the European conference each year as one of the firm's three directors. Jeremy acts for a number of overseas clients with corporate or personal interests in the UK, including UK subsidiaries of overseas listed companies, UK branches of overseas private companies, non-UK resident individuals with investments in UK.

Entrepreneurs
A number of Jeremy’s clients are entrepreneurs operating their own companies in a variety of sectors including recruitment, care homes, consultancy, property, travel and leisure. Many of these businesses are fast-growing and require Jeremy to be regularly involved with advice on tax planning, accounting and general business issues as well as balancing the needs of the owners. Jeremy makes it a priority to understand the business environment in which his clients operate and the needs and wishes of the client. Jeremy advises a number of his entrepreneurial clients on acquisitions and sales of businesses and companies, working closely with the firm's tax and corporate finance partners and the clients' lawyers.

Interests
Jeremy interests are primarily sport related. He is a keen water skier and competed nationally and internationally for over 10 years. He continues to ski, with his three children, on a regular basis during the summer. In an effort to put something back into sport, he is a Board member of British Water Ski and Wakeboard. He is also a trustee of the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe.
