Ian Cliffe, a partner with the firm since 2001, is head of the audit and business support department and also leads haysmacintyre’s corporate finance division.
Ian is a qualified ACA and is also a qualified member of the Institute’s Corporate Finance Faculty. In addition to being a general practice partner offering general business and financial advice to his diverse client base, he also provides specialist corporate finance services including deal negotiations, due diligence, reporting accountants work on IPO’s and business plan evaluation.
Over the last few years, Ian has advised on a large number of both public and private transactions in the sub £50m market cap sector. This has ranged from due diligence assignments, financial modelling and working capital projections, private and public fundraisings, group reconstructions and MBI’s/MBO’s to AIM/PLUS listings. A number of these transactions have involved International Groups from a variety of countries including the US, Israel, Croatia, France and Germany to name but a few.
As a general practice partner, Ian has built up specialisms in the media and marcoms sector, the IT sector as well as dealing with the issues and complexities of International Groups.
Ian prides himself on being able to give business and strategic advice to all his clients, drawing on the commercial experience gained from his corporate finance transactions and applying this knowledge to his clients.
Ian is leading haysmacintyre's involvement in the Accelerator Academy a new training, mentoring and investment programme for innovative start-ups and early stage, high growth businesses in the Tech, Media/ Marketing and Telecoms/Mobile (TMT) space.
