Simon Wilks has been appointed Managing Partner of haysmacintyre with effect from 1 October.
Simon takes over from Bernie Watson who stands down after almost seven years, having been the first Managing Partner of the merged firm.
Simon joined the firm in 1987, after completing an MSc in Accounting and Finance at LSE. He became a Partner at the age of 31 and has held various managerial posts within the firm over the years including being part of the management team at the time of the merger.
He commented, “I am delighted to have the opportunity to build on the excellent work Bernie has done over the last seven years. The firm is enjoying very good organic growth in each of our three main areas of expertise – Corporate, Not for Profit and Private Client which we believe is due to both the success of our clients and the excellent service we provide to them.
We believe the teamwork at the firm is what sets us apart from our competitors in that the partners, staff and clients work so closely together. In the last three years, we have invested substantially in the promotion of partners from within the firm and we are now reaping the rewards. My challenge is to preserve the team spirit whilst managing the significant growth in income which we expect over the next three years.” |
