Our graduates are important to us as you are the managers and partners of tomorrow. We offer the opportunity to study for the ACA qualification in the role of Trainee Chartered Accountant or the ACA or CTA in the role of Corporate Tax Trainee.
haysmacintyre's graduate training programme runs over three years and has the following key elements:
first class work experience
- The majority of our training will be within the audit division where you will gain exposure to a broad range of clients in a variety of sectors.
- You will gain first-hand experience of the accountancy and audit work required to provide you with the right foundations for your future career. Early responsibility is given to those displaying aptitude.
professional study support
- This includes a combination of professional tuition, internal technical training sessions and the support of your training department.
- At haysmacintyre, we work very closely with our Tutors at “BPP Professional Education” where your training is continuously monitored. We receive regular reports to ensure your progression and results are on target to pass your exams. By regularly reviewing your needs we can take action to overcome problems.
- Each student attends internal courses during the training contract. These courses are designed to provide you with additional tuition to prepare you for the demands you will encounter at the various stages of your career.
personal skills development
- We place great importance in reviewing your performance and providing you with feedback throughout your training contract. You will be assigned a mentor on your first day to ensure your career and development is fully supported. You will receive regular performance appraisals with your mentor.
- The ICAEW requires you to complete an Initial Professional Development Log (IPD). This is designed to help students integrate their exam studies, work experience and the development of their professional skills. As part of this process you will meet every 6 months with your counselling partner to discuss these areas.
