annual independent schools' conference 2012
01 February 2012
The theme for the day will continue to be subjects of current topical interest, with special emphasis being placed upon their implications within the independent schools world.
The keynote address this year will be given by Geoffery Boult, Headmaster of Giggleswick School which will be followed by Joe Nellis, who is the Professor of International Management of Economics at Cranfield, bringing us up to date on the UK economy.
In the afternoon Matthew Burgess from the Independent Schools Council (ISC) will explain what schools now need to do to provide sufficient public benefit; this in the light of the judicial review of the Charity Commision's guidance. Christine Ryan, Chief Executive of the Independent Schools Inspectorate will then summarise the implications of the inspections regime.
