It is apparent from the results this year that it continues to be a challenge to get a meaningful return on cash deposits. It is not many years ago, that this was a significant source of income for many NGBs, although at the same time it is important that we do not forget the financial crisis and the risks that can come with higher returns.
All that said, and seeing the variances in returns from NGB to NGB, there must be a possibility of increasing returns through better treasury management, without necessarily increasing risk.
The session will include -
- running through some currently available rates (some of which are exclusive), with a view to demonstrating how you could potentially enhance returns without increasing risk
- bank risk highlighting what he believes to be areas of strength and weakness in the market
- this session will be exclusively for NGBs and related organisation
